Frankly NutritionThe Nutritional Therapy Practice of Jane Frank

Welcome to my website.  I am a nutritional therapist treating private clients on an individual basis, using foods and individual nutrients to support and improve their health.  I also write health-oriented cookery books and courses for one of the leading providers of nutrition education, give talks on health and nutrition to community and other groups and act as a nutritional adviser to various organisations.  In 2005 I acted as a personal shopper for Tesco as part of their Race for Life initiative. Click here to see the Manchester Evening News article about my work at the Handforth Dean store or click here to see a video of my interview with Ulster TV’s Pamela Ballentine. Where is Frankly Nutrition?

I am based in Churchstoke in Powys, and practise at the Marches Centre for Complementary Medicine at The Pharmacy in Bishops Castle, Shropshire and at Women in Mind in Shrewsbury.

Frankly NutritionWhat makes Frankly Nutrition different?

Having experienced the power of optimum nutrition in my own life,  I think my approach is unique.  I am dedicated to helping people take their health into their own hands by emphasising the link between what you eat and how you feel, both in individual consultations and in my books and talks.  My background as a teacher, cook and writer of cookery books ensures that I am able to make a dietary programme realistic and easy to follow.  With friendly encouragement, I take clients from knowing what they should be doing, through making effective dietary changes to helping them realise their health goals. These goals are monitored to ensure that they are always SMART - Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely.

I am committed to ongoing research, both as background for my books and to keep myself up-to-date with the latest health and nutrition news.  This research enables me to give patients and others a measured and informed interpretation of the hottest health scares in the press.

Frankly Nutrition provides:

  • Nutritional therapy, consisting of face-to-face consultations, functional tests, dietary and supplement recommendations, email and telephone support
  • Books and articles on food, cookery and nutrition
  • Cookery demonstrations, presentations and public speaking on nutrition and health
  • Consultancy services to corporate and individual clients

FrankEssence Personal Care Products

As a nutritional therapist, I care as much about what we put on our bodies as about what we put in them.  I'm also a beekeeper.  Because of my interest in products from the beehive, I learnt how to make skin and hair care products using beeswax, honey and propolis, and now make and market my own line of products, which I sell at farmers markets, health food shops and gift shops in the local area.  I will shortly be setting up a separate website to sell them online, but in the meantime please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  for a mail order form (UK only).  Payment is either by cheque with order, or by PayPal.
